When you sign up for Octopus Energy's "Intelligent Octopus" rate for EV drivers, you'll get a discount of up to 30% for all your home electricity consumption. We estimate this saves the average Texas household $400 per year vs. EV driver rates offered by other companies.
Don't be fooled by plans that offer 'free nights' in exchange for super expensive daytime power. With Octopus Energy rates there's no bait and switch.
Charging with the Cheapest, Cleanest Electricity in Texas
We offer these savings by intelligently charging your car when energy is cheapest and cleanest, from sources like abundant Texas wind and solar power.
Best of all, the only thing you have to do is plug in your electric car at home and and set the time by which you want it charged. Octopus does the rest.
Credit on your Octopus Energy Bill
Every month as an Octopus EV customer, you'll receive a credit on your Octopus Energy bill equivalent to the amount of electricity that was used to charge the electric car you lease from Octopus. We determine this amount based on your mileage per year on your lease, your contracted energy volumetric rate, and your car model.
